As noted in “The Need for A Renewed Course in Miracles” section in this website’s “About” menu, there are several versions of the complete Course now available, including the originally published and best known Foundation for Inner Peace (FIP) version, the A Course In Miracles Urtext Manuscripts—Complete Seven Volume Combined Edition (UrtextM) version, the Circle of Atonement A Course in Miracles: Based on the original handwritten notes of Helen Schucman—Complete & Annotated Edition (ANotes) version, and the Attunement & Atonement Works A Renewed Course in Miracles (ARCIM) version. Some students of the Course may wish to compare passages from the Course across these four versions, perhaps to check for fidelity to the original Course material received from Jesus and/or to search for a deeper understanding of the profound teaching that comprises the Course.
A Course versions cross-reference worksheet (“ACIM-ARCIM Cross-Reference”) is presented here for such purposes. All Course principles of miracles as well as Text chapters and sections and Manual for Teachers sections are included in this cross-reference to allow comparison of these elements across the four listed versions of the complete Course. This cross-reference doesn’t include the Workbook for Students lessons because these lessons are consistent across all included Course versions, though the wording of lesson themes and directions may differ in ARCIM as a result of its use of gender-neutral language and universal spiritual terminology and its goal of maximum clarity of meaning of the material.
Because of the complexity of comparing this large number of elements across four versions of a lengthy manuscript, it is technically unfeasible to present this cross-reference within the body of this website.
